Could Maurice Simmons' legal woes be improving?
The district attorney's issued a warrant for the alleged victim to show up for the hearing, which raises questions about whether he will show up and testify.

"Simmons might only face the misdemeanor charge of permitting a loaded firearm in his vehicle and even that charge might be dropped, Carney said". If this ends up being the case, will PC stand by and fulfill the "offer"? Fight On!
Let Maurice go to JC for 2 years and stay out of trouble and then offer him. We don't need to feed the perception we are the Miami of the West.
Subpoena or Warrant?
If it's a warrant, thats noteworthy since the victim must have ignored the subpoena for the prelim.
Well, as long as we have people like Mark Sanchez prowling the campus, we will continue to feed the perception we are the Miami of the West. I wonder how many of you will allow him to be alone with your teenage nieces?
Lawyer John,
What's your professional opinion?
We don't have to hold our nose and take this guy. I don't want him. We sure don't need him. I'm embarrassed by some of the thugs we've allowed in and we'll be hearing about this for four years. I don't care about how good his brothers were or if he comes from a good family. He's a problem that we don't have our name on yet. Keep it that way.
BTW, if he gets off because the victim won't testify, that doesn't make him innocent. Some of you have trouble with that concept. Same situation as Eric Scott.
This kid must not be allowed to attend USC. I will not donate anymore if this kid is allowed. End of story.
hopefully maurice simmons can get in. we need more thugs like him and maulueluga. it brings a tough swagger to trojan nation. instead of all these wusses we have.
Simmons is not yet out of the woods. The fact that the victim did not show is not unusual. Perhaps he is scared to get involved. But with a warrant out I bet he will be forced to show. If not, the victim is further victimized by being tagged by the law as a criminal for ignoring a Court Order. Is this a great country or what.
Even in a best case scenario I don't see Simmons beating the charge of permitting a loaded gun in his car unless Simmons can convince that he had no knowledge of the gun.
As far as allowing him on the team, I try to follow the Bible's adage of "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
