Long Shot
O.J. Mayo made a three-quarters court shot from 69 feet to beat the first-quarter buzzer in his Summer League game on Monday.
"I thought it wasn't going to make it to the rim," Mayo told the Associated Press. "I was surprised. After practices recently, we have been practicing half-court shots. I made a few there, and now I made one in a game."
Good thing Mayo made it or he would have gone 4 for 17 from the field.
Whew! For a second there Scotty I thought you were going to make it through one whole post without slamming SC or one of its student athletes.
