About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Carroll got so upset over the Papadakis and Wolf unfair putdowns of Leinart because Pete was protecting one of his own, his football player(s). Anybody who knows Carroll's reputation is that he almost fathers his players, and he will stand up to anybody who puts his boys down. I rather like that.
And I bet Papadakis and Wolf will never test Carroll again in this same way.
Scott,
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not let Pete off the hook and ask him if he finds it ironic that by getting rid of all his good assistant coaches following the 2004 season, thus ensuring he would get all the credit for winning a National Championship (not having to share it with Chow, Orgeron, etc), that he created a situation where he will never win again. You can point out that USC has had the best talent in the country the last three years and has not won a NC. Your follow-up can be, "If you cant win with the best talent, what else do you think you need?"
Have fun.
Ask Pete what can be done about the cellar dwelling USC Song Girls.
Pete Carroll has done a great job at SC and the record speaks for itself.
Media dweebs make their living making "interesting C#%p" out of nothing. Petros and SW could easily get jobs at the Enquirer style mags as they are good at spinning BS. Carroll called them out. He won't do it often, but I wish their editors would.
Problem is we buy into it and it sells.
