Playing for second

ASU coach Dennis Erickson seemingly already conceded the Pac-10 title to USC, even though the Sun Devils shared the conference title with the Trojans last year.
``You don't pay any attention to that,'' he said. ``One thing about how they rate ya is that it's over the week when we start practice. Our league is so competitive. 'SC has set a high standard. That's the reality of it. Anybody can beat anybody, that's why it's such a great league. To pick who will be second is very difficult.''

Erickson apparently does not live in the same world as Slick Rick does. Dennis, if I was you, I would be very scared because Neu-weasel has already beaten you this season (without even playing you) and next thing you know, all of your kids will be involved in Ricky's neighborhood pool. Fight On!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
