Phil Steele ranked USC's Kevin Thomas the 30th-best cornerback in the country. That's pretty significant for someone who redshirted last season and was listed behind Shareece Wright on the depth chart following spring practice.
Meanwhile, Steele did not rank Wright in his top 65.
