Real Worry

Those pictures have completely taken on a life of their own. I have either seen them, or links to them, on at least two dozen websites, including Sports Illustrated.

Some of the sites where the pictures are posted have some rather interesting comments about her. This can't be good for the Song Girls' PR machine.

I was thinking the same thing. If they are so concerned about their image, this girl, who is 20 years old, doesn't appear to have too much problem having pictures taken with what appears to be an alcoholic beverage in her hand. One of those sites says that she got over 40,000 hits in just one day. This thing has gotten pretty big very fast.

I think we can add this under the umbrella of Song Girlgate.

They must be in overdrive right now trying to get those pictures removed. I wonder what the two women in charge of the Song Girls have to say about this?

This is the funniest thing ever for two reasons:

1) She has pictures of herself posted that show she has huge fake breasts (with veins even sticking out), body piercings, partying in Las Vegas, and engaging in underage drinking.

2) Within a day, Sports Illustrated runs a photo spread and 20 questions as part of their "Cheerleader of the Week" series that show her completely covered up and acting like she's so wholesome and innocent. Obviously the SI feature was planned well before the personal pictures became public and the two just coincided time wise when they hit the internet.

This is probably the worst week in her life, while the planned SI feature would have made this the best week of her life. This girl must be going crazy right now.

Here's the link. Honestly, she's just a normal, attractive college girl engaging in the social life of a typical college student. In my mind, the pics are great because it shows that we actually do have some attractive SGs. As TrojaninDC points out, however, they are just way too few and far between.

She has got the most ridiculously huge fake breasts ever. They look like basketballs and no attempt whatsoever was made to make them look at least somewhat natural. See, this proves the theory going around that the Song Girls went from being wholesome All-American types in the 1970s to the 1990s to girls this decade with questionable values.

Now that Miss Lindsey Grubbs has become the most famous Song Girl since Natalie Nelson was caught cheering for Texas, leading to her becoming an international phenomenon, I wish to post, yet one more time, what I said AN ENTIRE WEEK before Miss Grubbs also became an international phenomenon:

The following are the only pretty Song Girls in the 2000s who also had "The Look" that Dolly Zachary Rouse claimed was imperative to being a Song Girl:

1) Whitney (coach's daughter): 2000-2002
2) Shannon: 2002
3) Jacquelyn: 2004
4) Jenn: 2004-2005
5) Kim: 2004-2006
6) Natalie (coach's daughter): 2005-2006*
7) Erica: 2006
8) Lindsey: 2008-present
9) Keli: 2008-present

*This one is kind of a coin toss since sometimes she is pretty, but from certain angles, not so much. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt here and include her, especially since she made all of us laugh with her support for Texas.

Some notes:

1) This is the definitive list of ALL the pretty Song Girls from the 2000s that also had "The Look" which is considered imperative to be a Song Girl.
2) If you are not on this list or you know someone you think should be on it, you are wrong. This is the definitive list and is not open to discussion nor interpretation.
3) The list is not all blondes, as there are a couple of brunettes who clearly have "The Look."
4) Yes, the 2008 squad has a couple of members on the list, but before people start getting excited, there are actually 14 members on the 2008 squad. 2 out of 14 is not exactly glory days material, is it?
5) So we have a total of nine pretty Song Girls with "The Look" out of about 80 or so in the 2000s? That's pretty sad.

The athletic dept. is paranoid about our demands for transparency, fairness, the elimination of corruption and nepotism with Song Girls.

Meanwhile, one of the Song Girls is bringing some less wholesome publicity to the squad. Hey, she seems like she's just having fun doing some good ole college partying.

But this just goes to show for all those people who seem to think the Song Girls are the last boatload of virgins on this planet who shouldn't be objectified for their looks...well, clearly Ms. Grubbs thinks otherwise.

I do have to give credit to TrojaninDC for being ahead of the curve on this one. Yes, I did read your post last week where you gave credit to Lindsey for being one of only two attractive Song Girls on the current Song Girl squad.

Now that she is both famous (thanks to Sports Illustrated) and infamous (thanks to all the other sites!) a week after you mentioned her, I tip my hat to you.

Yes that is the same Lindsey Grubbs. She is an accomplished singer/dancer/actor and that article is about her and her performing credits. She is also one of my best friends, and I thought it might help all you out to set the record straight on all this shit you are making up because none of it is true. #1, if it makes all of you feel better to locate the 3 or 4 pictures of her on Facebook in a bathing suit (all of them from over a year ago by the way), & then have to go through her friend's profiles too when you couldn't find enough material to incriminate her with, than what does that say about you guys? How many hundreds or thousands of pictures did you have to sift through in order to get what you wanted? Don't you have anything better to do with your time? And I hate to burst your bubble, but having known Lindsey almost my whole life I can tell you that this "questionable" image you want to associate her with couldn't be farther from who she really is. Whether you want to believe it or not is your choice, but everyone who knows her could tell you she is a normal and laid back girl who doesn't do drugs or really even drink, is actually a strong Christian who takes her beliefs so far as to be waiting for marriage to have sex (believe me my friends & I have all been turned down by her enough 2 know that's true), and absolutely DOES NOT have fake boobs. If you ever see her mom that'll be enough to explain where she got 'em from. ;) So the fact that all of you wanna get on her and make up lies about her just because of the way she looks and because you want to believe the worst of people than that is a personal problem of your own, but not something this this poor girl should be dragged into.

Those breast are SO fake. Not even remotely natural. Numerous reasons:

1) They are completely round like basketballs. Women's breasts do not look like that.

2) They have lines on the top of the breasts that come from implants.

3) They are too far apart to be real.

4) They have veins sticking out of them which is a common side effect of getting large implants.

5) In her pictures from just two or three years ago, she's practically flat-chested. So are you saying that she suddenly jumped from an A/B cup up to a very large D cup at the age of 18 or 19? There are late developers but not that late and not that significant.

Say what you will about Lindsey but drop the whole she "absolutely DOES NOT have fake boobs" line. That's a blatant lie. Her breasts are as fake as a $3 bill.

Thanks Hume'05. Tell Lindsey not to worry about flamers on Internet boards. They flame due to their own insecurities. Lindsey is beatiful and talented, and is the shining star of the SGs. She appears to have the normal social life of an SC student. We're envious and miss those days. Fight on, Lindsey. Hume05, we would love some scoop on the inner workings of the SGs. Understand if you have to wait until Lindsey is done with football season. Lindsey, you are solidly on the SG's All-Decade team. You are the Pillsbury of the 2000's.

I say this with complete respect but if Lindsey is, indeed, one of your "best friends" as you claim, then why would you say that you have repeatedly attempted to have sex with her? That does not exactly sound like something a friend would do.

Ok that was obviously a joke just to prove that this image you all want to associate her with is completely inaccurate. And I have never "attempted" to have sex with her..she's obviously a very attractive girl so I'd be lying if I said the thought never entered my mind...but the point I was trying to make is that she always made her feeling about the subject very clear and has still stayed true to her beliefs.

HUME05, like I previously said, she seems to be doing what all of us did in college. Just having fun and partying. And there's definitely nothing wrong with that. But let's not act all incredulous that people are reacting the way they are esp. when she took those photos and displayed them on a semi-private site.

This is going to make the 2008 football season very interesting.
