About Sanchez

Quarterback Mark Sanchez threw to moving targets for the first time and did some light running before practice. Sanchez forgot his helmet because he had not practiced in more than 10 days.
``Sanchez is looking really good, hopefully he'll be able to practice,'' Tibone said.
Sanchez said he wants to return to practice by Monday, which would give him a week to regain the starting job.
``I felt in a rhythm, my arm feels fine,'' Sanchez said. ``Hopefully we'll know more (today) from whether the swelling comes back or if I feel pain.
``(Virginia) is a definite possibility. The way things are healed.''
Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said he liked most of what he saw watching Sanchez throw.
``He's able to throw the football with ease,'' Sarkisian said. ``We saw a couple things in the movement (of his leg) still, but that's normal. The key is how he bounces back (today).
``He's feeling his way still. He actually threw a couple deep balls that were right there.''

Good news for Mark.

I'm glad that Mark is coming along and I hope that he fully recovers (quickly). However, would it really be necessary to rush(are they rushing) him back for the UVA game? I want Mark to ready and saddled up for "THE" Crying Buckeyes. So why risk injury in the UVA game? Fight On!

Even if USC is undefeated in December and Mark puts out of sight numbers he won't get the Heisman. Let me make this clear I am NOT putting Mark down. I am rather brutally honest. Look back Matt L. had great numbers and White from OK won the H. Look back again and Bevan beat OJS in 1967. OJS had a season to fall back-on and won in 1968! IF Mark put the numbers and take USC at least to the RB then he'll have a chance for the H in 09.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
