Q: Whatever happened to Whitney Lewis after UNI? The NYT did an interesting follow up story to Willie Williams (Miami) this past weekend. Any chance you chase down some old recruits like Whitney or Randy Estes or Simmons?
A: Whitney Lewis showed up at the second USC scrimmage during training camp a couple weeks ago. He was also at Pro Day. Someone said he is back in Ventura County. I'm sure he would like to keep playing football in some capacity.
Q: When Brian Dohn asks for questions on the Bruin blog he gets about 5 times as many questions as you do, all of them about sports. Do you think that the focus on song girl gate has finally driven the real sports fans away from here?
A: Really? Can you suggest another topic so we can cut down on questions even five times more?
Well, Scott, since you asked, I could suggest a few topics other than teenage girls that you might add to your blog that would further scare away those who come looking for sports news. Such as, the history of calculus, the mating habits of red ants, or Mandarin Made Easy come to mind.
