Mitch Mustain starts slinging it (throwing it sideways) and completes a 9-yard pass to Travon Patterson, 22-yarder to Blake Ayles and 16 yarder to Patterson. It's his best drive and he finishes with a 2-yard TD pass to Rhett Ellison. White team 28, Cardinal 7.
Mustain is 10-14 for 92 yards and 1 TD.

Slinging it?

As in Vince Young slinging?

What does that mean?

Was he scrambling? Is that why he was "Slinging it"?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
