Leinart Drops
Looks like the Arizona Cardinals selected Kurt Warner as their starter following Matt Leinart's 4 for 12 for 24 yards and three interception performance against the Raiders.
To say he's been a flop is an understatement but Warner's age and injury history will probably mean he plays at some point.

Warner will break down at some point. Leinart will get his shot.
Cutler and Vince-anity haven't exactly been lighting it up. I hate how Vince is perceived as more successful. Have you guys seen his completion %, TD/INTs, Y per Rec, and passer rating? He is the worst starting passer in the league. Anyway, kind of surprising, but Leinart will play a lot this year anyway. Quite amazing when you think about how hard it is to make it as an NFL QB. How many top 10 QB picks have been successful in the last several years? Carson and Roethlisberger are exceptions, not rules.
He looked so sluggish he looks like he wants to be traded. Disappointing.
Your anti-Leinart bias is showing Scotty. The kid's only played in a handful of games and you expect him to be All-Pro. Check out Eli's first few years bub!
Wolfie, give it a rest. We're all tired of your anti-Leinart tirade. Maybe we can get Kurt Warner to come in and cover USC for you since you don't seem to give a rat's rear end. You couldn't throw a football, catch a baseball, dribble a basketball, and now you're criticizing the players who can, and the coaches at your own alma mater. You are not funny. You don't write very well. And you don't break any news. Other than that, you're doing a great job. By the way, when's that next wave of layoffs coming?
Leinart is a terrible NFL QB. Stop blaming Wolf for bias when Leinart is the one beer bonging away all off season and then looking he never opened the play book in the game against the Raiders.
I'd take Leinart in a New York minute.
Beer Bonging? What does SW preach against that? Religious conviction? It is football SW.
How would you like to be the owner of a team and have Kurt Warner as your future?
Sooner Matt gets out of Arizona the better.
I live in Arizona and it's unfair to call Leinart a "flop". His first year he played a little which is common for a rookie QB and his second year he was playing OK and getting better when he got injured. This year is critical for him and he will get his shot since Warner will never stay healthy.
All of you are missing the true story here. Despite Leinart's three interceptions, the Cardinals still managed to beat the Raiders and Lane Kiffen's offense was shut out. Yup, 24-0.
Kiffen is an offensive genius!
Less bimbos and beer bongs next off season.
I don't care what you have to say Wolfie. Matt is still my favorite USC QB of all time.
He has played exactly approximately one season on one of the worst teams in the NFL. It's not like Ben Rothlisberger in Pittsburgh where he was thrown onto a team with a fantastic defense and asked to merely be adequate. Ben on the Cardinals team would have struggled just as much...
Matt and Reggie are far from flops.
The only people trying to say they are are those waiting to find a reason to break down USC. If you can prove USC doesn't develop talent then maybe you can break down Pete's grip as the best recruiter in CFB. Too bad every year he's sending more and more guys to the league.
The Donkey says,
STFU Scott!

"Matt Leinart remains the Cardinals starting quarterback, despite a news report on Sunday that coach Ken Whisenhunt had decided to replace him with Kurt Warner.
Whisenhunt denied that was his plan and said today that the evaluation process at quarterback is continuing. He met with Leinart this morning to talk about the reports, assuring the young quarterback that the information didn't come from the Cardinals.
Leinart took snaps with the first team in Monday's short practice but so did Warner. That has been the norm this off-season.
Whisenhunt stopped well short of naming a starter for the opening game, however. Speculation about a change increased after Leinart had three passes intercepted last Saturday in Oakland. On Monday, Leinart said the game was a learning experience rather than a setback. He said his mistakes were physical: throwing a ball on a go route too far inside, for example.
"If it was mental, where I was completely lost and completely unprepared, then it would be something where I need to figure out what's going on," he said. "But that's not the case. You just move on; that's in the past." "
