Mays v. Thomas
Cornerback Kevin Thomas, who redshirted last season, intercepted a pass that safety Taylor Mays also had a chance to intercept.
``I'm gonna get (Thomas),'' Mays joked. ``I'm going to beat him up. I had the ball in my hands and he muscled it away from me. I need to work on my biceps.''

Mays' closing speed yesterday was very impressive. The secondary was the highlight of the defense yesterday IMO.
No real defensive coach is going to get on Thomas about taking that pick away from Mays. I couldn't believe those coaching geniuses in the announcer booth making a deal about it. When the ball is in the air deep in the secondary, it's in a dangerous spot. If Thomas had been a half step slower and leaped and batted it down, it would have been a great play.
Who is #24. He play a sofe corner again.
gkyc5stars, 24 is Shareece Wright. You know (contrary to one SW trying to rain on everyone’s parade), there were some real good, feel good stories. Mark Tyler getting a TD, Sanchez looked really good (and healthy). Clay Matthews looked just like his pops, but for me, more anything, to see Kevin Thomas on the field, playing well and getting a pick. I hope that he stays completely healthy all season long. Fight On!
That's what I thought at time. Mays waited for ball instead of going to get it as Thomas did. A lesson learned.
I thought Corp did a great job handing the ball to the running back....
Scott, did you notice that he redshirted last year after an injury and our coaches didn't waste it his freshman year? Now stop calling for our staff to RS each and every freshman. The RS is something you can use any year.
