USC is selling black football jerseys on its official online store. This is puzzling for many reasons. Football jerseys are something of a sacred matter for USC. Pete Carroll’s previously rejected attempts to wear an alternate uniform. Last year’s basketball black jerseys were a flop.
So is this a fashion statement? Perhaps, but an odd choice in lieu of the anti-gang violence rally Carroll held at the Coliseum on Saturday.
