Power To The People!

| | Comments (5) |

After more a few complaints, USC finally posted its basketball schedule.
"We think we have put together a great schedule for the USC fans," Tim Floyd said. "At the same time, as challenging as our schedule was last season with Kansas, Memphis and Oklahoma, if you look at the RPI from a year ago this non-conference slate is even tougher."
That's what I thought when I saw Tennessee-Martin and North Dakota State are coming to the Galen Center. And who uses the word, ``slate'' anymore?

Scott,

The sad part about you is that instead of actually offering some sort of professional insight about the schedule: Possible games against Memphis, Xavier, and a game at home against Georgia Tech, and one on the road against Oklahoma, you have decided to take the high road and comment about the head coach's word choice.

I'm sure it takes an enormous amount of intelligence, thought, and sports background to come up with that comments.

BRAVO!

Scott, was that crack necessary? Snarky is tolerable when it's funny. Thanks for covering basketball more. Was great to actually get the full schedule but none of us expected that any team in a long NCAA season and arguably the top conference from top to bottom will play on top 20 teams. NO TEAM does that. It's basketball not football Scott. Show you can do more than one sport.

Who uses the word slate anymore? Well, OK, Tim's terminology there may be a bit dated. But I'll bet he knows how to spell Barkley.

Tim also knows that Univ. of South Florida is a BCS conference school.
