Q: Do they sell DVDs with complete games of an entire season? I haven't seen anything like this on the bookstore website.
A: No, but it's a great idea.
Q: Do you know the status of the 2007 Season DVD? I ordered it weeks ago but still no DVD. The Rose Bowl Pete 'Miked Up' DVD came right away.
A: I hear maybe by the season opener.
Q: How many 2008 Olympians are current or former Trojans?
A: 41.
Q: A little while ago you said that you knew someone who had offered to contact the legendary Tricia Pillsbury for an update, so where do we stand on that as of today?
A: Someone is trying to establish contact. We shall see.
Q: What is the athletic dept.'s rationale for wanting to control this blog and its readers in trying to censor Song Girlgate? Are they aware that this blog is not associated with nor funded by the university? Are they not aware that anyone with eyes and an internet can see the dearth of quality Song Girls? Isn't a more appropriate axe to grind be with the people in charge of the Song Girls and anyone associated with the selection committee? Why is it that the athletic dept. choose to blame everyone but the actual culprits themselves, both the leadership and the members who have disgraced the legacy left behind by the Glory Days Song Girls? What are the latest updates on actions taken by the members of the athletic dept. in trying to censor this blog? It's baffling how much they are trying to protect this corrupt and nepotistic system and should raise even more questions and suspicions.
A: Here's some news. A very well-known member of the athletic dept. told me out of the blue Monday there was some type of counter action being discussed against this blog and its reader comments. I did not bring up the topic and they didn't have much more than that. It never ends.
Q: Does Petros Papadakis know Sarah Carmona?
A: No.
Q: The Dallas Cowboys are currently featured in HBO's
reality series HARD KNOCKS:TRAINING CAMP. Do you think a similar TV show could be made about an NCAA football team and if so would USC Football ever agree to participate? Also, would a group of Trojan players ever get away with pulling down a position coach's shorts the way the Dallas DB's did to Coach Dave Campo?
A: USC actually did a behind-the-scenes show for the Auburn game in 2003. The initial episode contained so much profanity that the weekly show was abruptly canceled.
Q: Wolfie, can you talk a little bit about the relationships the various USC football beat writers have with one another----I'm thinking in terms of friendly, unfriendly, helpful, unhelpful, levels of expertise, insider knowledge, relationships with coaches, i.e. do some try to 'KISS UP' to get scoops, etc. and etc.--just, in general, whatever you feel free to discuss that we might find interesting----thanx in advance, and thanx again for the forums.
A: This is no different than other lines of work. Some people get along better than others. Some know more than others what's really going on at USC. Everyone has their own style for obtaining scoops. I am not overly social to the other writers because they are the competition. Some interpret this as being unfriendly. But everyone has their own methods. Some people in the media do kiss up to people at USC, but they are usually more interested in being liked than getting scooped. Not everyone likes me, but the people that matter know they need to respect me. I can live with that.

I bet the "counter action being discussed against this blog and its reader comments" is that we will finally, after a decade-long drought, get pretty Song Girls again come 2009. Yes, that will really teach us a big lesson.
Oh, the humanity!
I think the counter-action will consist of getting that tool Ben Malcolmson to write one fluff piece after another on the USCRipsIt blog about how "beautiful and classy" the Song Girls are, despite photographic evidence to the contrary.
Since Malcolmson just does as he's told, expect a barrage of Song Girls articles on the USCRipsIt blog.
You heard it here first.
Maybe the counter action to get back at the Trojan faithful will be to get Song Girls that are even more unattractive and overweight to comprise the squad than what we've had this past decade.
Sure, you're thinking, "But how could the Song Girls get any more unattractive and overweight than what we've had this decade?"
After much consideration, the strategy that has been formulated has been to put Song Girl uniforms on the Flag Girls and pass them off as the new squad. That will surely get back at all of us and make us long for the squads of the 2000s.
See, it's all reverse psychology coming from the athletic department.
This is my prediction for the counteraction being discussed - the athletic department will disband the USC Song Girls and bring back the Yell Leaders. When people complain, they will respond by saying "Well, it was because of all your complaints that we disbanded the Song Girls, so you finally have your wish." All the while, the athletic department employees will be laughing, thinking they have gotten back at the SC alumni and students who were disappointed with the vast number of less-attractive Song Girls in the 2000s, so they announce that the Song Girls will be brought back, still less-attractive and far from being physically-toned. It's all a vicious circle and a big game that is being played by those involved.
Fight On!
Maybe that Auburn special can be found on You Tube or elsewhere.
I'm assuming USC players will not be "pantsing" any coaches anytime soon...
Counter action? The only solution is to get attractive Song Girls who know how to act in public. Anything less than that makes the squad a sham and an embarassment, which they currently are.
The insular Athletic Department once again shows it's absolute arrogance in trying to censor this blog and attempting to intimidate readers and fans by imposing it's own "counter-action" to silence the legitimate criticism of the Song Girl program. Why not just listen to the voice of the loyal supporters and institute some more stringent ethical standards (no more nepotism, including Artie and the Coach) and some moral/behaviorial standards (no more penis bong photos).
I am beginning to think this pervasive insular attitude and arrogance of some Athletic Department officials is the root cause of the problem with Song Girl gate and other more recent player scandals.
Yes, the administration is full of corrupt cronies. When times are good, the weak get fat. The gall to speak of a counter-action against an Internet blog and its readers is disturbing. Do YOUR FKN jobs and recruit some attractive SGs, you blow hards! These people survive by leeching off the success of Carroll and Floyd. When the spotlight turns to them, the incompetence is exposed. The field mouse is fast, but the owl sees at night! DO YOUR JOBS, BOZOS! SONGGIRLGATE is your Scarlet Letter.
