Right Way Or Wrong Way?
One reason for the offense's struggles during the first scrimmage was confusion on the offensive line, where going the right way on a play became an issue. Even projected starters like Butch Lewis, who started several games last season, went the wrong way on a few plays during the scrimmage, which explained some of the breakdowns.

well come on scott butch lewis has been out for a while...and BTW that's why they call it PRACTICE
Any chance of a USC QB throwing a pass over 15 yards this year? I haven't seen that since the Texas NC game..thank god JDB and his 4 yard bubble screens are gone..I don't even care if it's heaved 50 yards and the other team gets a pick-6..just to see a wide open USC offense again would make me happy. I am so tired of this "west coast-short, accurate passes" BS...The JDB USC offense had to be one of the most boring, predictable units in the history of college football..like a 1974 Big 10 "3 yards and a cloud of dust" games except we passed for 3 yards at a time instead of running it..
Is it not amazing that SC lost a total of 4-games the past 2-years and we still have "fans" complaining. Oh, and did I mention that the Trojans were voted as the No. 2 and No. 3 team in the polls at the end of last season?
But back to topic, this is a re-built offensive line. And it takes time. Unfortunately, there is very little time before big, bad Ohio State. I predict the team will have trouble the first half of the season as the line develops. So perhaps a mobile quarterback i.e Corp, might be in Troy's best interest, although I believe Sanchez is SC's best chance for long term success this year.
