Second Quarter

| | Comments (1) |

Garrett Green is intercepted by freshman Drew McAllister and Aaron Corp's intercepted by Rey Maualuga on a tipped pass. Mitch Mustain sits out a few series. But then Corp leads the offense to a TD, as Stafon Johnson breaks a 47-yard run and Corp completes an 8 and 7 yard pass to Vidal Hazelton. Johnson scores on a 4-yard run.
Mustain looks like he's sinking but then rebounds with a three straight completions, including a 26-yard TD pass to Travon Patterson (we think). He also threw an 11-yard pass to Patterson.
Mustain is 3 of 5 for 57 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Corp is 7 of 10 for 38 yards, 1 INT

So we have a defense that is playing pretty well, an OK running game that did break off 1 long run, and a bunch of 7 yard pass completions...

SOUND FAMILIAR?

That describes every USC team since Leinart/Bush left..looks like that's how PC's teams will be...good defense, a little running game, NO passing game, 11-2 record, NO NC
