The offensive linemen frequently get overlooked but after three practices, tackle Charles Brown is probably the most improved.
``I'm really pleased with how physical Charles Brown is,'' offensive line coach Pat Ruel said.

What this sounds like to me is spin control..I mean let's deal with reality here. Byers and O'Dowd are awesome...and after that?
Charles Brown is a converted TE with minimal experience...where is butch lewis?? At least he has some talent and experience. (#11 OL recruit on scout.com) Zack heberer? please..I saw that guy get pancaked by Idaho D-lineman on TV. Nick Howell?? We are scraping the bottom of the barrel here, the price we pay for years of recruiting big ticket items like Joe Mcknight and Vidal Hazelton.
SOMEBODY better step up on that line or this is going to be a LOOOONG year. We have an inexperienced QB and WR's who cannot get open. We are going to need lots of good protection and BIG holes for the RB's to go through. Why don't they ever play Thomas Herring? He has the size (335lbs) and was a highly rated O-lineman out of high school. And instead he sits on the bench while Alex Parsons plays? WTF is that? Alex Parsons was a DE in high school who switched to o-line because of lack of depth.
Throw in some more bonehead INT's like the one Sanchez had vs. Oregon and this year could come apart fast...or more likely, a win vs. tOSU and then another stumble against an unranked team...another win in the Rose Bowl and watching PC on TV saying, "Just wait until next year!!"
