It's never too soon to look ahead. Here's the road games in 2009: Ohio State, Washington, Cal, Notre Dame, Oregon and Arizona State.
Makes this year look like a breeze.

Better win it this year Trojans, because next year looks like a real long-shot.

Hey LJ:
Ye of little faith - "a real long shot." One never knows what early graduations and injuries will do to a team in 2009. OSU's starters are comprised of 12 seniors (8 on offense) and 7 juniors. Like USC, OSU's juniors will at least sniff at the NFL (Beanie Wells included). Next year may very well be a rebuilding year for them (although Pryor looks like he will be difficult to handle).
Also, we have had success recently at Wash, Cal, ND, and ASU. Oregon may be the toughest game, in terms of the opposing crowd (along with Ohio St).
Um, but that is next year. BEAT the Buckeyes!
Fight On!

Excellent point, USCMike. ND should still suck next season too, and UW will likely only be a .500 team. Rudy will be gone at ASU and we almost always play well in Tempe, which is a very similar enviroment to the Coliseum. OSU, Cal, and Oregon will be dangerous, but we almost always have 3 or more dangerous games per season anyway. Agree it will be touch to win at Eugene and Berkley in the same season, but it can certainly be done, as can winning the BCS with 1 or 2 losses. Mark will be a senior. I am not the least bit worried about competing again for the BCS in 2009, after we win it this season.

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
