Computer Polls

| | Comments (9) |

Four of the six computer polls used in the BCS rankings are out. USC is No. 1 in two of them (Sagarin and Billingsley) and No. 4 in a third (Massey).
However, in the fourth, the Colley Matrix, which uses a complex mathematical formula and only data from this season, USC is ranked No. 36.
Colley's top five: Wake Forest, Utah, Nebraska, Arkansas St., and Wisconsin. Ohio St. is No. 42.

Scott, I've created a better computer poll and would love your feedback and commentary as to its sanity: http://www.ripbcs.com

It shows USC currently in a 7-way tie for First (including UCLA), and tOSU alone in 5th.

More importantly, I have devised a computer program that unequivocally designates me as the No. 1 sex toy for all of the earth's women.

Now you're talkin'.

LJ, does that include the current crop of Song Girls? I think its time for you put the bottle of Jim Beam away for a while. Fight On!

Off topic, but I don't want to wait for the next Answer Monday...

There was a small, insignificant blog post on September 9 about Ray Maualuga's weight. There was a link to another article and a quote about "we must have fed him too much" or something like that. No big deal, except it amused me and I put in a silly comment.

Now when I look back at the topic, there is no link, no quote about feeding him, and the comment is gone. What happened to the archive?

I don't really care about the subject matter and I certainly don't care about my comment. But are we changing old posts after the fact? Is there a reason? Do other posts change in the archive?

Arkansas St.?

Lou Holtz had them No. 2 behind Notre Dame.

Sheesh Scott, the Colley Matrix is just about as stupid as your top 25s are. I think they should both be eliminated, as being irrellevant.

i just came up with my own computer ranking. here's the formula:

usc = sick

you think they'll add it to the bcs rankings?

We are #46! What is Colley smoking and who does he have pictures of, to be included int the Bullshit Championship System. What a joke. Notre Dame is probably in their top 10.
