Game That Never Was
Tonight's game was originally not supposed to take place. Before 2006, Pac-10 teams missed one conference opponent each year. USC had been scheduled to miss the Beavers for four consecutive seasons (2005-2008).
When the NCAA added a 12th game, the Pac-10 decided to schedule all conference teams. The first consequence of that for USC was the 2006 upset loss to the Beavers.

On that note,it should be known that the PAC 10 is the only conference that plays every team every year and plays 9 conference games. The SEC and Big 12, as tough as they are billed to be, only play 8 conference games.
And for SW's info the SEC scedules are planned to make it easier for their better teams to run the table and be Bowl eligible.
OOC games at home against weaker teams and an incomplete IC schedule.
All to draw revenue and build up their status with the media.
But those media guys are to smart to fall into SEC worship. Right????
