In reading topdj's post, I don't see a word about being "on set". No worries though, just a minor phrase that COMPLETELY changes the meaning of your post.

I heard the on air tease yesterday and it sounded to me like he'd be on the Game Day set. We'll see. I hope they don't trick him into pitching SportsCenter.

It didn't sound like that at all, actually. They simply said exactly what topdj posted, that he would be live on GameDay. Nothing about "being on set" was ever mentioned.
I remember hearing the commercial the first time that Mark would be "on set" of Game Day, but since Arizona State loss to UNLV, Game Day changed location from Tempe to Auburn. I'm guessing that after the change of location, there was also a change in the commercial too.
