I wonder if Donkey saw the 2004 Nat'l Championship game? We're definitely not talking apples to apples with what Norm has vs what Sark has. You can have great scheme..but if you don't have athletes to execute it, it's difficult...compound that with a 3rd string QB...I don't think anyone expects much out of UCLA.

It appears that even with a bye week, and probably knowing what OSU's defense was going to do (try to stuff the run and depend on their secondary), that SC's stable of athlete's & talent still couldn't get it done or match OSU's intensity.

What happened in 03 and 04?

Last night was an absolutely embarrassing. It's like the Yankees losing to the Royals in the World Series. Play calling was terrible. If we were efficient on offense, it would not have mattered what happened on defense. How do you go 3 and out on your first 2 possessions?

Frankly, Sarkisian is still a student of Coach Chow and he is a beneficiary of what Coach Chow was able to build.

I was frustrated at the lack of adjustments on the offensive side. It reminded me of Kiffin not being able to adjust to UCLA in 06.

All I can say is you thought talent alone would overcome anything.
