About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Brutal! The cops at UVA were absolute jerks. Apparently, you can tailgate on campus, and campus security was cool, but take one step off campus and the Charlottesville cops act like SS troops. While getting caught for underage drinking deserves punishment, it seems a bit extreme to boot the kid off the team. Maybe there's more to the story, but the 5-0 is strict in VA. And, UVA takes pride in holding themselves to high standards. I think their conflicted hypocrites.
My favorite line in the story:
"He ... told the judge he thought he had not been barred from drinking, but only from getting arrested."
I'm definitely using that with the next cop who pulls me over!

DFW Trojan, I agree those cops in Charlottesville were absolute jerks. I couldn't believe how they were yelling at people. They had a completely hostile attitude towards the citizens.
It is sad when Coaches and AD's bow down to Media bias and don't stick up for their kids that have committed to the school.
Look at the change Rey has had and how it helped him to have SC stick with him through his things after his Dad passed away.
Kids will have run in's and make mistakes, but not all need to be "thrown away".
(Until they get real with the "21" drinking age, most 18, 19 and 20 year olds will be "bustable" every weekend, in every school.)
Good points Caesar. I will also back up the fact that the cops at UVA were a-holes. I got kicked out of the game in the third because one of them on the sdielines saw me tapping a guy in an tOSU hat on the shoulder to get his attention so I can talk $hit. Then they kicked out my buddy for talking shit to him. Then my other buddy, who didnt want to watch the rest alone anyway, stood right in front the tOSU guy with his shirt off just starting at him, and of course got the hook as well. Screw them.
