McNeal Plays
Newly arrived tailback Curtis McNeal struggled early in practice, including fumbling, but then had a nice run near the end of practice. He's quick and small, so he gives a different look to the backfield.
``Curtis is different than the other guys we have,'' USC coach Pete Carroll said.

redshirt?
I'm with Sam, I have to believe he's going to be redshirted this year. I think yesterday was a look see/lets see what we have hear. Fight On!
He should definitely redshirt. He's already missed so much and would be the #6 RB. It's not worth it to burn a year for garbage minutes.
Number 7 running back
Its McKnight, Gable, Johnson, Bradford, Tyler, Green then McNeal.
He is a Desmond Reed. In twos year most of these guys will be gone to NFL and it will only be Tyler, Green, McNeal
We need running backs for 2010 when everyone graduates.
I haven't seen him play, but I am envisioning Chad Morton. And, Chad Morton was a warrior on the field. I hope McNeal plays like that.
