Geez. Real brain teasers, Scott. Are the Song Girls guest blogging this week or do you really have nothing else from the game to write about?

Let me speak for my 93,000 colleagues who were actually AT the game.

1. Absolutely. It was a HUGE improvement and MUCH appreciated for instant replays (which were awesome). But the new scoreboard over the tunnel was spectacular.

2. It's called "the speed of sound". You might want to look into it. Somewhat slower than "the speed of light". And the delay, even from the press box I'm sure was less than two seconds.

Hey, did anyone else notice that the sound from the fighter jet fly-over was like two seconds behind the jets themselves??? What was with that???

And after reading Mr Wolf's latest Top-25, has anybody ever gotten it that Mr. Wolf enjoys being contrary and obviously enjoys the notoriety. I have said it before, but the only way to hurt a personality like his is to ignore him.

Finally - not terribly impressed with the new HD scoreboard. Granted its better than the piece of crap that was in there before, but the color looked way off. At night time, the USC jerseys looked like they were more purple than cardinal.

But I suppose anything new is better than what was in place before.

I did notice a difference with the big screen, it was much better than what was in place before.

Players and coaches were looking up at the instant replays on the new board all night as evidenced by the ABC telecast.

I was watching the game in beautiful hi-def and DID notice the new video board.

It looks a lot nicer and bigger than the one that was there when I was going to games as a student during the dark early 90's!
