One Excuse
I've been told one reason Mater Dei QB Matt Barkley threw four interceptions in his first game against Carson was because of the high-risk, go-for-broke pass plays called in the game, which put considerable pressure on him.
Someone else said he hurt his knee the week before the game. OK, that's two excuses.

He was at the UCLA vs. Tennessee game, maybe he thinks QB's are supposed to throw 4 interceptions to win.
Maybe he thought he was playing Carson Palmer and got nervous. Tradition can be a burden sometimes.
SW are you suggesting he sucks?
Well of course Wolfeee only wants to create a fire and a new "Barkley-gate" (now that he has built up Song Girl-gate and created Stat-gate). If Wolfeee had watch the game, he would know that (2) of the INT's were the result of "tipped passes" (catchable balls), but of course Wolfeee only wants to be like the near-coming Santa Ana's, he wants to create a danger for everyone. Fight On!
There are a lot of people who think he is overrated
Scott's a d!ck.
Another big game for Matt is when they take on Vontaze Bufict and Centennial (Corona)on September 19 on Fox Sports.
Also, purportedly, Matt has been given the mandate to call his own plays this season. Is he going for too much and will the coaching staff attempt to reign him in a bit?
