About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Why does Pete Carroll never punish a player who has been charged with a crime, is under investigation for a crime, or been arrested for a crime? This hands-off approach hurts the university's reputation and makes many compare USC to the Miami teams of the 1980s and 1990s, viewing the football team as a renegade group of lawless thugs. Why doesn't Carroll believe in discipline and accountability for his players? Why is he so soft with his players?
During the Ohio State game, did you see that one of the Song Girls, Allison (the captain), was now out of the squad? There are now 13, not 14, members of the squad and she is no longer even mentioned on the Song Girls' website, even though she was a member a couple of weeks ago. Was there yet another Song Girl scandal but this one flew under the radar?
Matt Barkley. A Jesus freak?
With Shareece Wright being charged with a felony for resisting a police officer, are the USC football players feeling pressure to step it up in order to compete with the USC Song Girls for which squad has more embarrassing off the field issues? Have the Song Girls upped the ante?
Who is responsible for screwing over the people with lifetime passes? Mike Rae, Danny Reese, Sam Cunningham, and many others were told that they would only be able to get one ticket. I'm sure their wives and friends would be thrilled to find out why the rules were changed without any notification and by whom. Mike Garrett and Ron Orr's names were mentioned along with much profanity. My guess is the seemingly boundless greed these representatives of the university have shown since the revival of the football program knows no bounds. The list of valued members of the USC community treated with distain and disrespect by those in charge seems to be growing daily.
My question is about the post entitled "Weight Loss" on September 9. The post was changed in the archives to eliminate a link to a news story and to erase my comment (I don't know how many others may have also been submitted and lost).
Why was the post changed after the fact and does this happen often/occasionally with other posts?
Scott, how do you justify Georgia over SC? Do you feel the need to be tougher on the Trojans because you follow them and don't want to be considered a homer?
Can you please tell us what recruits were in attendance for the Sc game?
With the PAC 10's latest meltdown, do you see any possibility the conference would expand to 12 teams and have a Versus Championship Game? Are there any ongoing talks to expand to 12 schools or has the current "play everybody" schedule killed off that buzz?
If forced to add two teams I would invite BYU and Utah and put them in the North with the Oregons and Washingtons. You keep the 2 teams from each state or area continuity. Please provide your thoughts on PAC 10 expansion, feasibility, possible teams, recruiting issues, etc.
Now that Nick Perry is eligible, what are his chances of playing this year? I assume he has not practiced at all and we're already two games into the season. More likely he will redshirt?
We know that USC scripts its first 15 plays, but do the coaches follow the script in its entirety regardless of how the game is progressing? If USC goes 3 and out 2 or 3 times in a row and the opposing team grinds out large yards and scores when they have possession, USC may be into the second quarter before they go off script. Is there an example you know of where the team went off script early?
On the current SC football roster which players have been arrested and/or gotten in trouble with the law and can you name them?
What do you see as the tailback rotation for the Oregon State game?
Would it really be a USC football season without at least one player getting in trouble with the law?
How are Galippo and Luther Brown doing in rehab, and are they on track to get some decent playing time this season, so that those two plus Malcolm Smith can gain some critical seasoning this year to prep to fill our most critical need in 2009 - LB? Does Galippo project to be middle, Luther strong, and Malcolm weakside?
Will Stafon Johnson's height hurt his pro prospects?
Matt Leinart has now been benched and Matt Cassel is now a starter in the NFL. How much do you think dedication to the sport and off the field lifestyle choices have factored into this most ironic turn of events? The differences between these two players are night and day and should this serve as a lesson to those players who want to behave in a certain manner off the field?
Hey scott remember when i spoke to you about your Klose jersey on the way into the game? I was hammered.....awesome!
Scott, why the constant lack of respect for the Oregon program? You continually rank the Ducks 4 or 5 spots below the rest of the polls. You have two one loss programs ahead of the Ducks, Ohio State is understandable, but Kansas?
Whats the Deal
What happened to Ausberry?
