Quarterback Shuffle
So why did Garrett Green officially leapfrog Aaron Corp and Mitch Mustain today as the backup to Mark Sanchez?
Here's a couple possible reasons:
``I didn't perform well last week in practice,'' Corp said.
As for Mustain, he's been in a bit of a funk since becoming the No. 3 quarterback about a week before thinking he had a shot to start against Virginia.

The Donkey says it's about being comfortable with the offense.
The Donkey elaborates:
Green has been around for a while, a fact that became obvious when Garret stepped up during Mark's knee injury. Mitch's and Aaron's arms are stronger and they have a bigger upside, but it is about the "knowledge."
There is a reason why Damian Williams is playing so much this season, he has endeavored to learn the offense -- and not only his position.
I don't know Scott maybe because Green is practicing better?
Mitch and Aaron can look at this one of two ways - with a self-loathing and defeatist attitude, or that the #2 position and potential playing time will be determined by hard work, and to whoever wants to compete the hardest for it.
If any of the three (Green, Corp, Mustain) choose the first option, they will never see the field this year or years after. Choose to compete, they may get playing time, and more importantly, understand what it takes to succeed in life. And with that last sentence, I realized I'm getting old.
I love how Pete Carroll preaches and rewards comptetition.
I hear you SF, but how far do you take it?
Girls like attention like Pete likes hard work. If I take a girl out, do I have to hold her hand constantly and complement her every two seconds to keep her from running off with some creepy latin guy giving her the eye from the corner? If I do, you can bet I'm losing interest at some point.
Likewise, these guys need to work hard but they also need to feel some level of appreciation. To vault #4 to #2 [seemingly] out of nowhere can't be good for the locker room.
It doesn't matter, this is not UCLA. Your place on the team is always in flux. Deal with it.
