Until Al Davis croaks, or lets go of the reigns (which will never happen), the Raiders will continue to be an embarrassment.

Kiffs continual whining, while still depositing his paycheck, is embarrassing to him as well. He should have known better before taking the job.

As a Raider fan and someone who wasn't crazy about coach Kiff while he was here, you'd think I'd back the Silver and Black in this situation, but the Crypt Keeper is such a class A douche bag, that I find it impossible to back them in anything they do. As TrojanSmith said, the Raiders will never ascend to the top of the NFL again, until Al Davis croaks. I don't blame Kiff one bit for this mess. Would anyone here give up millions of dollars (as he was asked to do) by resigning instead of getting fired? I don't think so. He probably knew what he was getting into, but decided it was worth the risk. It worked for Jon Gruden. Besides, was he supposed to sit around and wait for college coaching jobs to open up? Remember he couldn't even get the sorry, no account Minnesota job when he went after it. The Oakland Raiders might not be a great franchise, but if you are able to show any signs of life, another franchise may scoop you up after you get the axe (see Mike Shanahan).

In closing, the Raiders will rise when the Crypt Keeper falls.
