Here's an interesting article where Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid analyzes a coaches' copy of the 1958 NFL Championship game between the New York Giants and Baltimore Colts, dubbed the ``the greatest game ever played,'' and compares the football to today's game.
Former USC star Frank Gifford was also a star for that Giants team, and Reid said Gifford was one of the few players in that game who could play in the NFL today.

Great article. I was 13 when I watched it and was hooked forever. I can remember the game play by play. I seem to remember it being re shown, or specials on game, so I am surprised film was lost.

Too bad no VHS
