Here's the last of the Open Forum questions. And we start it all again Friday!
Q: Has Lane Kiffin been fired yet? If not...why?
A: You can never predict when Al Davis will wake up and pull the plug. But remember what we said two years ago. Lane Kiffin got the Raider job knowing he'd probably get fired in two years and then be able to put on his resume that he was an NFL head coach. That should help him when he tries to get the Washington or whatever college job opens after the season.
Q: I'm pleased to see Patrick Turner performing well. I think the injury induced hit by Rey Rey last year at the end of camp really was a major factor in Turner's lower than expected performance last year. What do you think?
A: By coincidence, I wrote a story in Wednesday's Daily News on Turner, where he said the shoulder injury did not heal until after the season. I definitely think it affected his performance and he's been better this year.
Q: What do you think of Manchester United's play so far this season? I dont think they will repeat this year. I dont think Rooney is having an impact nor the Park even though he had the goal fall into his lap against Chelsea. Who is your premier pick to win the season?
A: I've been disappointed in Manchester United. They've won one of their last seven games, I believe and scoring goals is a problem. I thought their performance against Chelsea was vital to saving their season. Park and Owen Hargreaves was a bold move by Alex Ferguson, especially with Nani and Anderson on the bench. I expect much improvement now that Ronaldo is healthy again.
That said, Chelsea has to be the favorite right now. They are flying down the field at the fullback position and once Drogba takes over for Anelka, they will be even more dangerous. I think Mikel's about to become a star this season, filling in for Essien.
OK, the throwball fans are about to go nuts, so I will stop.;
Q: With Bryant moving up, who is now our 5th CB?
A: Daniel Harper, a walk-on, moves into the fifth spot. But Josh Pinkard, Cary Harris and Kevin Thomas should take all the snaps Thursday unless someone gets hurt. Or tired.

Rooney = The Ohio State
No Rooney does not = Ohio state.. Ferguson just uses him wrong and switches his position far to often..
As with Ferguson, I've never understood the fascination with Rooney.
Oooh, he's short, he has spunk.
Beckham (probably overrated in his own right) checks his brain at the door, kicks a guy and he gets death threats. Rooney pulls that nonsense eight years later and he gets praised for his passion.
Get the runt an underdog shirt and be done with it. That's pretty much all I have to say about that.
But back to American football, I hope Kif gets PAID for putting up with Al Davis.
Patrick seems to have the best hands too. Although Damien is good. Neither of those guys drops. RoJo and Vidal still have the occasional drop. Aus drops more than he catches, and I don't think they've even thrown to Travon yet.
PT has no heart. Pure and simple. He could not perform as our clear-cut #1 without a solid #2. Now that he's #2 or #3 behind Damien and RoJo he'll be fine.
No heart, been saying it for years now.
