I've been watching SC football religiously since I was a freshman in '89. Imho, Mark's performance last Saturday was the BEST I've ever seen by an SC quarterback. All the throws (aside from the slightly behind interception) were pinpoint accurate.

Matt's performance against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl was amazing but Mark made passes Saturday I don't think Matt can make.

The award is WELL deserved.

great for Mark! I would have voted for Pat White (5 TD ... THROWS!). But I won't complain. Fight on!

I think you are forgetting Carson Palmer's last 4 games of his Senior season. He was unconscious...

Sanchez had a great performance, and I don't want to take anything away from it. However, I don't think its fair to classify it as the best of recent history. You have to consider that the opponent was Virginia. Sanchez was cooking steaks in the pocket in his clean jersey. Plamer and Leinart have had bigger games against better opponents who applied more pressure. Booty's 2nd half against Michigan in the Rose Bowl was pretty good, also. It was a great performance by Sanchez. I hope he does the same against the Buckeyes, but I suspect his jersey may be a little dirtier at game's end.
