Tale Of Two Answers
After Monday's practice, offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian was asked who would replace Mark Sanchez if he got hurt against Oregon State.
``We'll decide tomorrow,'' Sarkisian said.
About 10 minutes later, Pete Carroll announced that Garrett Green was officially the No. 2 quarterback. I asked Sarkisian about this contradiction in answers.
``I defer to my boss,'' he said, acknowledging that he didn't want to say Green was No. 2 until Caesar did.

Quite different from how Slick Rick does it hey Scott?
After all the hubbub and hullabaloo with Corp and Mustain, Green is now the #2? Did anyone see this coming? Is this all BS to keep these guys happy behind Mark, i.e. giving them all a chance to be the official #2? I haven't been able to check this guy ou in practice, is he that legit?
I think that announcement will actually help Mustain by showing him he can still move up in the depth chart with hard work.
Pete = Sensei.
This is a shocker. But, as I recall, Green was also highly touted QB coming out of HS, just not a Parade All-American. I also believe he was a bit short at the time, but was a superb athlete, so he was brought on to be a utility player. And, his superb athleticism has shined with the WRs and now the QBs. I think this guy is just an amazing athlete. We need some tape of him in practice. Just like Clay, hard work and athletic ability can move you up the charts at SC. Fight on, Garrett! No way Mustain doesn't transfer next year if he is still #4 with Barkley coming in, right?
