The Last Time

| | Comments (1) |

USC's last regular season loss to a ranked team, when USC was ranked No. 1, was to No. 7 Alabama, 21-20, at the Coliseum on October 8, 1977. Rob Hertel's 2-point conversion pass to Mosi Tatupu was intercepted by Barry Krauss, with 35 seconds remaining.
The Trojans got a measure of revenge the following year, when a No. 7-ranked USC defeated a No. 1-ranked Alabama, 24-14, at Birmingham.

Wow, that's a step in to the good old days. Rob Hertel, Mosi... wow. Old Days, good times I remember (even though USC lost that game). Fight On!
