Who has Georgia, Florida, USC, Ohio St. defeated that makes them better than East Carolina?

Seems that if you go by "Earning it", East Carolina is the clear cut No. 1.

Do we have to dignify Caesar and SW? ECU was NON rated before this week-end...

I'm not so sure Ohio State should be above USC considering how they struggled against Ohio. I'm just hoping that the Trojans can leap above Ohio State after they whoop them next week. Check this out uscfootblog.blogspost.com

I think it might be blogspot. blogspost doesnt make sense - like Ohio St being ahead of USC.

Caesar Author Profile Page said:

Well it just proves that "Polls" are popularity contests till later in the year.

I am a USC fan so of course they would be my No. 1, not that beating Virginia earned them the ranking.

Oh and don't worry about "dignifing" anything on a SW blog.

Laughable. Hope you don't get your free buffet next week in the press box.

What has Ohio State, or ECU shown that says they are better than Oklahoma right now?

I would have.

1. Georgia
2. USC
3. Florida
4. Oklahoma
5. OSU
6. ECU

When USC struggled like OSU did in yesterday's game Scott has dropped them in his ranking without remorse. I guess Scott's rules don't apply to non-USC teams.

What are you trying to prove Scott other than that you like attention?

DFWTrojan Author Profile Page said:

Laughable, as usual. Although your initial Top 25 was pretty good, Scott. It didn't take long for you to revert to your moronic ways. Too high: Ohio St, LSU, East Carolina, BYU, South Florida, & UCLA. Too low: USC, OU, Bama, Fresno, Oregon and Cal. Wait, Cal isn't even ranked?!? You ranked UCLA ahead of Cal, Oregon, and ASU. Have you watched all 4 teams play and can you honestly say that UCLA looked to be the best of the bunch? Of course, not, just using your AP vote to aggravate your readers. What a waste of a vote. Is there no certification for these things? I can't wait to see how many times you are voted Worst voter on pollspeak.com this season.

Seriously, you're either trying to zing us or you're on drugs. Ohio St over USC? Just to recap ... that Ohio game was AT HOME. They were BEHIND in the 4th Q. They looked like CR@P. Their best player is gimpy at best. I guess this has to mean that OSU will likely either beat USC or the game will be a nail-biter and they lose because they are on the road. Drugs. It has to be drugs.

ECU belongs in the top 25, but any voter putting ECU in their top 10 needs to have their head examined and their vote revoked. And yes, I've watched ECU beat two over ranked teams at home and at a neutral site in North Carolina. Its clear that SW is trying to make a point that nobody should move up or down in the ranking if they win, but moving a team to #6 when they weren't even ranked in the top 50 to begin the season is idiotic.

Uhh DPWTrojan: SW has ASU at 13 and UCLA at 19. I believe that means that UCLA is *NOT* ranked ahead of ASU. Reading comprehension works!

DFWTrojan Author Profile Page said:

Ooops, I meant to just say UCLA, Cal and Oregon. I hate Cal, but to beat any conference team 66-3 deserves some credit, as evidenced by the knowledgeable poll voters today. I pride myself on reading comprehension, but isn't Scott's writing incomprehensible.

Enough already. Wolfie has again proven himself an ignoramus.

-East Carolina No. 6?

-UCLA No. 19?

-BYU No. 14 after needing a huge dose of help from the zebras to beat Washington?

-And Ohio State struggles to beat might Ohio and the Buckeyes rank ahead of the Trojans? The same USC team that everybody else voted No. 1 in the nation?

I bet Wolfie is related to the newspaperman who wrote the "Dewey beats Truman" headline.

I hear the Daily News has an opening for a high school football stringer. Maybe Wolfie can go annoy somebody else for a change?

Who else wants to sign the petition to get Dohn on the USC beat?

I'm a Bruin and even I think it's nuts to have UCLA higher than Oregon right now.

I echo every word of DFW's (with the obvious exception of the ASU oversight).

Scott rankings are always putrid, which was why I was surprised when I agreed with nearly all of his preseason rankings. It is good to see he's back in action (or is it inaction) for the rest of the season.

Keep it up Scott, you'll get that pollspeak worst voter of the year award yet!

this is the dumbest poll ever! USC number 1 no doubt the dogs number to the sooners three gators fourth and Ohio fifth. anything else is uncivilized chumps!

Wolf isn't a journalist, he is like sensationalist. I can't believe they pay him. I think most of us have written in to ask that they get a new writer. Wolf gets less readership than the UCLA blog talking about football.

Hell, Wolf gets less than the Univ. of Miami fb blog at the Sun-Sentinel or the Michigan fb blog at the Detroit Free Press. It may be the least read blog linked to a major paper covering a CFB perennial NC contender. And the people that do read this blog generally hate him but hey, he works for a major paper so he gets info that independent blogs can't get. Jeez.
