About Gable
Pete Carroll just talked about why C.J. Gable came in and scored the final touchdown at the end of the Washington State game.
``Broderick (Green) was gassed and we didn't have anyone else,'' Carroll said. ``He had to come out and missed a touchdown run.''
He's right. I remember how out of breath he looked after that last long run he had. I was surprised to see him get a carry right after that...then he got taken out for Gable. It's not like you're gonna have Matthew Hiller run on 4th and goal.
Although, I WOULD have liked to see DJ Shoemate get a carry there.
Why not the fullbacks, Stafon Johnson, or DJ Shoemate? Or how about Aaron Corp running it in. CJ Gable had two before.
Ask Pete Carroll that and beware the Arizona Wildcats since they have the players, coaches, and skill to beat USC. A running quarterback and good running game will stop the overrated USC defense. As USC fan I worry about Arizona.

SC COULD have lined up with two fullbacks and handed the ball one of them, but that is not they way it's done. Green was done and couldn't handle the load anymore. Stafon is the clear starter and had shut it down well before that. Gable's group got called.
Scott, if you don't know anything about football, make this cheerleader only or European Football blog.
I'm not sure why the WSU fans would be upset about Gable coming back into the game. My goodness gracious, Carroll threw one pass in the second half and ran out the clock at the end of the first half.
WSU fans should be mad but at their own team for putting on such a weak performance.
