Answer Monday, Part IV

If you got hit by the sprinkler at halftime, post a comment here.

Q: Why is that one song girl with the tattoos, Sydnee Hines, allowed to be a first year squad member when she already graduated from SC back in May? Both the tattoos and her academic standing violate the song girls' own policies?

A: I'm staying clear of this one or I'll be blamed for one more thing by the athletic dept.

Q: When the Song Girls participated in Swim With Mike did any of them exhibit "Elite" speed?

A: Hmmm. I don't know but maybe the Oregon cheerleaders will be invited to expand the program.

Q: When the Oregon cheerleaders were at the Coliseum were they given the evil and jealous eye by the USC Song Girls and their advisors?

A: If they were, they didn't notice because they were too busy dodging the addresses thrown at them by USC fans.

Q: Have you thought about replacing the header of your blog that currently has a cliched image of Tommy Trojan's head with the picture of you and the Oregon cheerleaders?

A: I had not thought of it, but this is the best idea I've heard in months.

Q: Scott, will you be covering the SG tryouts this Sunday? Are the press allowed and can you take photos? Will you be arranging a tailgate party for your readers who have created the group, Reform SGs Now? Will the Daily News buy a keg for our tailgate as payback to your loyal readers? Please cover the SG tryout in-depth with pictures of the candidates, interviews with the SGSC, and expose's of the corruption on display. Scott Wolf for the Pulitzer!

A: All good ideas but I did not attend the tryouts because I am currently Public Enemy No. 1, and I don't want to be blamed for any problems during the tryout process. I would, however, encourage readers to attend the final tryouts, if for no other reason, to find out who exactly is on the selection committee.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
