How many other teams besides ASU would USC defeat today?

WSU, UCLA and SMU. And, that's it! Thank goodness Stanford wasn't in town today.

Is it me, or does Sark's game plan consist of like seven plays: run up the middle, pitch right, pitch left, play-action post route, bootleg right, screen left, empty backfield/shotgun.

Scottie is gonna rip and Sanchez, but two of those INT's were not his fault: Williams juggled one and the screen left that got blown up because McCoy once again (her got burned on the sanchez sack/fumble) got abused.

Blake Ayles will play more and more.

OMG, Mustain just caused a fumble. I root hard for the kid, but I think he is averaging like 1 TO causation for every 5 minutes of playing time. Brod may get the fumble in the stats, but it looked like a really bad pitch from Mooostain. Play Garrett!!!

Mitch Mustain is a fine young with deeply held religious convictions.

Thats the thing Scott you only play 1 team a week and that is the only team you have to be better then. Almost every week USC is better than then the team they are playing.

I think a far more interesting question would be, "If Pete Carroll were a tree, what type of tree would he be?"

Most human poll voters will see a 28-0 win over a Dennis Erickson coached team with Sanchez not 100% and probably think the 4 TD Shutout win is worth moving up a few spots in the polls.

Anyone else nervous about the game in Tucson?

Great defense and an offense that you're not sure what is going to show up. The Oregon State game got away in the first half because the offense didn't do anything and couldn't keep the defense off the field. It would be nice to see some creativity on offense.

Nervous about the Cal game and the game @ Arizona.
Can't see any other losses. The Washingtons are terrible, ND and UCLA just don't have enough his year. Can't see Stanford doing it twice in a row.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
