Line Moves

In case you missed the Morning Buzz, there was a slight shift in the defensive line during Monday's practice, with Kyle Moore moving to defensive tackle while Clay Matthews and Everson Griffen played at end and Fili Moala remained at nose tackle.

Has anyone heard if Clay Matthews is a pro-propect?

How about playing a lot loss because he is not very effective..

So, does that mean the Tupou did not play well, and they are still down on Spicer?

Sam:
I asked the same question to a friend of mine who played defense(CFB). He said: "Clay Matthews,Jr. is very similar to Dallas Sartz. I think his draft position will depend on if he continues to get plenty of playing time like against UVA". We can easily infer late second to third round. I hope this helps to answer your question.

I'll bet diamonds to doughnuts that if no one else drafts Matthews, Jeff Fisher will. He's got too much history with SC, and that franchise has too much history with his uncle Bruce not to at least take a flyer on him. Besides, when it comes to on field production (that's what really matters right) he seems to be outplaying Rey, Brian, and certainly Everson at the moment.

I buy into your argument a little as far as Clay Jr. going to TN. Let me counter your argument with another Trojan who is giving other Trojans a chance to make it in the NFL: Jack Del Rio in J'ville. I am NOT mentioning Seattle in the same way because Mike Holmgren said this is his last coaching year.

Thanks Cap & sureshot.

It'd be nice to see him picked up somewhere.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
