McKnight Improves

Tailback Joe McKnight, was not 100 percent last week, enjoyed his best practice of the week. Still wondering why he went to Washington State if he was not fully healthy the following week against Arizona.
Wide receiver Damian Williams is not participating in contact until game day. Defensive end Everson Griffen did not finish practice Wednesday, bothered by a sore toe.
UPDATED: Griffen actually had an upset stomach. We went with Caesar's explanation above.

Why would McKnight go, you ask? Since USC has had problems playing in the Northwest, maybe it makes sense to have key younger players go along just to get better acclimated. Experience the game atmosphere even if they don't play. Not that it hurt any. What was the score again? I lost count after about 60.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
