OK this site is almost up, my friend is installing the Java 2 platform and I have to pay to advertise on google...I will let everyone know when it is up and running. I will have a petition to have ol petey fired, you can use an electronic signature. Once I get 1000 signatures (which I am sure won't take too long) I will send it to the USC athletic department. I am using godaddy.com so I am planning on hosting videos of those great performances vs. UCLA, Oregon, Cal, Oregon St (x2) Texas, stanford, etc...if it gets big enough I will email the link to ESPN.com and hopefully it will get on national TV. I have already contacted my local TV channels here in Michigan. And, I have also talked to www.uhnd.com they will advertise it on their site.

That seemed negative Ricky but correct. I also think that PC has taken the competition thing out of its bounds. There is no development, no chance to learn, just "what did you do on the last play". In the NC era there were times that Leinart, Reggie, DJ, SS, KC, Lendale, etc. would make you say "darn, that was screw up" or "darn that was a bad play" but it wasn't like some meat grinder destroying kids psyche. It would also be false to imagine that we didn't work with guys for a while to develop them, despite their most recent play. When what's his name transferred to UNLV he and even Chow noted that they saw something in Leinart even though he was sulking and not playing hard after HE was on the bench. And Reggie- Christ, the guy was fumbling and losing yards, etc. but Chow developed him into a role he saw. Wow, my beloved Pete has went so far with the ego thing after being so hungry.

yep, another mistake by "genius" pete carroll..there is no "competition" even though he spouts it's all about competition all day...I guess you mean Rocky Hinds, the QB who transferred to UNLV...he actually got hurt again at UNLV and his football career is over which is a shame he seems like a good kid. He finished his degree at UNLV so hopefully he can get a job.

It's nice that pete plays old school and the seniors and juniors play no matter what the talent level...but your right this team is stagnant. It's just a production line..come in to USC, play for 2 or maybe 3 years..off to teh NFL....that's why no USC players do any good in the NFL (except carson palmer and T. Polamalu). they don't develop at USC...because we don't have good coaches anymore.

Whoa chief, I could give a lot more players than Troy and Carson who are doing just fine in the NFL and I'm not a big NFL fan. Even people like Reggie for instance who is the most productive running back from his class (finally overtaking the suprisingly good dwarf from Westwood). But SC football fans tend to concentrate on SC and CFB, guys are forgotten soon after leaving, at least for 20 years or so.

But your point is well taken, it seems to be creeping into the production line it one was in the 80's and 90's when we put out tons of NFL players, (until the mid 90's more than any other school) but still were mediocre. Part of that was a better PAC 10. But now the talent being stockpiled means no excuses.

For the record Matt, I've been a fan of SC before going to SC and a huge fan since. I support my school not just with blabbing but many ways through the years because I'm a Trojan and SC football is a festive event that keeps me close to other Trojans, win or lose. So screw your "3 years" comment.

I never went anywhere, although I stayed out of the whole Song Girl controversy over the Summer. We all would like to see pretty girls, and there is nothing wrong with making sure the selection process is fair. However, many comments were mean spirited to those on the squad, who no doubt work hard and make sacrifices to represent USC.

I do remember that Trojanbobcat story....that was very strange.

Bitterness, sarcasm, insults, etc. I agree with Matt. USC1966(last season) and RI's posts, could be by the same person. Yes, everyone has a right to their own opinion, and I think RI's suck! As for the Hazelton situation...I thought he was the Trojans best receiver going into the season, but Williams is now. And, LJ, what is a blog's intention, but to carp, needle, disagree, etc., with each other. Reasonable or not... keep it clean, and let the "zingers" flow. CFB is a freak'n game.

Ricky, I don't knwow who this Ricky Irvins guy is, who you named yourself after, and definitely spelled his name correctly, but in a USC forum like this, people just assume that you were trying to name yourself after a prominent USC running back with a similar name.
