More Answer Wednesday

A few more questions trickled in and we're answering them.

Q: Could you get quotes from the glory days-era Song Girls (1970s-1990s) during the reunion this week regarding their opinions on the Song Girls of the 2000s and how they have tarnished the legacy of the squad with their embarrassing behavior?

A: I'll try, it all depends on the turnout for homecoming. Should be an interesting day in any event.

Q: Does Pete ever involve himself in the Offensive play calling? Like John Robinson and the "if you call one pass play you are fired"?

A: Pete Carroll is on the headsets and has final say or veto power over every play call. He is very hands on for offensive and especially defensive calls. So he does involve himself and recommend what plays should be called. It's hard to give a number because he's always talking to Steve Sarkisian over the headset.

Q: The rapid decline of the Song Girls has widely been traced back to 2000. Hue Jackson left USC in 2000. Coincidence?

A: I never thought there would be a decline of any kind traced to Hue Jackson's departure but hey, anything's possible, I guess.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
