More Caesar
``It's a terrific conference victory. I don't care what standards you use,'' Pete Carroll said Sunday night.

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Pete is right and here is ESPN's Ivan Maisel on the topic in the Gameday Wrap-up:
"Penn State and USC are the only teams in the top 10 that won by dominant margins. The Trojans defeated Arizona State 28-0. The Nittany Lions played their best game of the season at Wisconsin, winning 48-7.
But Penn State and USC are the exceptions. On this kind of Saturday, it made more sense not to play. Alabama, by remaining idle, stands as the last unbeaten team in the SEC."
An "exceptional" and "dominant" USC victory!
It was win. Nothing terrific about beating a hapless ASU team that way. Pete's comment of ' we could have easily been beaten today' was more of the truth.
Pete keeps putting that kind of sloppy product out there and SC will soon be a 8-4 , 6-6, type program and the Coliseum will have 60,000 rather then 90,000.
Feel sorry for the staff since they have to rewatch that mess. We fans can just deleted from our DVr , which is now becoming the norm after each underachieving ugly, boring, win or loss.
No doubt the USC coaching staff and players need to tighten it down and make adjustments the rest of the schedule.
My point is that nationally the ASU win did not hurt USC, and to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Penn State after their Wisconsin rout is a nice bonus.
It's better than a pointy stick in the eye anyways...
