Penalties
USC committed 12 penalties for 114 yards. Among the notables: Tight end Anthony McCoy drew two holding penalties while wide receiver Travon Patterson was called for holding the second straight game. Wide receiver Patrick Turner also held. Freshman T.J. Bryant picked up his first pass interference penalty. Defensive end Clay Matthews roughed the holder on a field goal and defensive end Kyle Moore roughed the passer.
And there was a too many men on the field penalty.

Of course, the biggest personal foul penalty was by Scott Wolf, the cheerleader groupie.
Blocking down field no prob- they obviously need to be taught how to block better but their effort is in the right place. TJ Bryant is stuck in a system that doesn't play to his strengths- he was the top corner coming out and now he is being taught to play our bend but don't break "everyone in secondary is a safety" scheme. Clay, Kyle, team penalty for too many men- reflects on coaching.
Pac 10 officials!
So none of these calls were right.
I read on WWW board that in 2004, we rated 27th in penalties. Each year we've fallen lower. Last year we fell to 117th !!
The Mathews and Moore penalties were dirty and totally uncalled for.
Look, this shit has to STOP!!! I'm not just talking about SC I'm talking about the entire Pac 10. This has got way out of hand, on every level. I understand that Ref's like to get on TV, but this has gone way too far and is making the league look bad!!! As you all know, the Pac 10 does not help with that this year at all. Tom Hansen needs to go!!! Yesterday!!!
