Pac-10 supervisor of officials Dave Cutaia said the horse-collar tackle that knocked Mark Sanchez out of the game was legal because he was in the pocket.

ANY NFL horse-collar tackle is an automatic 15 yard penalty. WHY can't the NCAA do the same? That is the subject.

I stand corrected. Please read the Post Game Thoughts thread in which I posted both the NFL and NCAA rule concerning the "Horse-Collar" tackle. SW is CORRECT the Oregon defender was NOT penalized because Mark was in the pocket.
