Sanchez Quote Of The Night
``It's never as bad or good as it looks or feels after the game,'' USC quarterback Mark Sanchez said. ``It's funny to me people judge your stats. I played better against Oregon State and we lost.''

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Don't let them get to your head. You are doing fine. You didn't play poorly, team did.
Sanchez sucks big time. Three interceptions and a fumble on four consecutive plays. That is a new record. Can't wait until he gets benched which will probably be in the very near future.
I think Sanchez is a good quarterback. He takes takes risk and makes plays. He sometimes has up and downs, but he's a play maker. What USC missed in the last two years.
He originally earned the nickname "Dirty Sanchez" because of his rape thing but now it also applies to how he stinks it up on the field. Very dirty!
DDS: Dump Dirty Sanchez!
I guess poor Mark Sanchez will never live down his reputation, at least as long as he is at SC. And the "Dirty Sanchez" mantra was used by Oregon State students, so it is not original, and even smacks of racism.
One of the interceptions was clearly not his fault, Williams bobbling a well-thrown pass; another was a touch pass with the defense blowing up the play, not entirely Sanchez's fault; the third was a long pass where he did not get good forward motion into the throw and it was underthrown. It happens.
Mustain was no great shake when he was in there. I believe the coaches that Sanchez gives SC the best chance of winning, and right now it appears SC has a better than 50-50 chance of going to the national championship game if it wins out. And who will beat them?-- Arizona, Cal, ucla, nd all will be big underdogs of at least 10-points.
He actually got the nickname "Dirty Sanchez" among students on campus several months before he was arrested for rape. I'll leave it to your imagination as to why he was given that name.
Sanchez is handicapped by a OC that is still learning on the job. He doesn't turn it over anymore then the last qb under this OC.
Please! Check out his numbers before last weeks game. A lot of you have the memory of a gold fish. Either that, or each week you're the one who says "he sucks" and when he finally has a bad game you give the good 'ol "told you so" aka the douche response.
FYI: He was named Pac 10 player of the week in 3 of his 4 games. That equals any Trojan record. Seems like there's a lot more people who know more about football who disagree with you.
Oh, and he's right. He played much better v OSU than he did in that 3rd Quarter last week. That 3rd Q was about as bad as Booty's 2nd half vs the Farm last year.
Funny that more bruins and Trojan haters post on Scott's stuff than Trojans.
The SID can nominate any player for Pac-10 player of the week, so that's no big deal. Even after UCLA lost to BYU by a score of 59-0, UCLA's SID still nominated Kevin Craft for Pac-10 offensive player of the week. That's right, a QB who managed to get shut out was still nominated for his offensive performance, so that was Sanchez's competition for the title that week. Fact is, the Pac-10 is pathetically weak this year and getting named offensive player of the week in a conference where just about every other team is losing their non-conference games is nothing to be bragging about.
Basically, it comes down to this - you cannot pick and choose which performances to include and which ones to exclude. A player is the sum of all of his games. Sanchez has really stunk to embarrassing levels during some games where there was no excuse. Playing against weak or over-rated opponents should result in better stats. Oregon State and ASU were simply terrible and there was no excuse for his performances against those schools.
Booty's performance against Stanford could be blamed on a broken finger on his throwing hand. What's the excuse Sanchez's garbage performance against ASU?
I agree with the DDS mantra! That's great. Dump Dirty Sanchez!
Not the most intelligent group of readers I've ever seen.
Yes, Mark Sanchez had a terrible, rotten, no good day on Saturday, but he's still a very good quarterback who certainly gives the Trojans the best shot of winning. And as for those turnovers, one was on a beautiful pass to Damian Williams that he totally and completely messed up, and the fumble happened because of an ole' job by Anthony McCoy on the defensive end. They talk about a "internal clock" that quarterbacks need to have to avoid getting squished by blindside attacks. I can assure everyone here that the "internal clock" does not go off at 1.2 seconds, which is about as long as Sanchez had to get the ball off on that play. Garbage block by McCoy and garbage attempted catch by Williams.
I have faith in Mark's ability to lead SC to a NC if given a chance and I'm excited to see it happen. I would like to see Mustain and Corp (maybe even Green) get some serious PT this week against the sorry, no account Cougars, if for no other reason, just to keep Sanchez healthy.
FIGHT ON!
TA2001:
You are a coward, moronic idiot NOT man(or whatever the hell you are) enough to admit you are a prejudiced a-hole using yes a horrible performance to blast Mark Sánchez because you dislike or despise him. If I dislike anybody I tell them to their face(s) I hate your guts. If I get my A$$ KO so be it. That is the difference between you and I pendejo. I am sick and tired of your damn rants. I can tolerate trash talk and criticism. Your fat editorialized mouth needs a knuckles diet.
Now that El Capitan has decided to chime in, everyone's IQ has dropped by 65 points thanks to his latest threat of physical violence. Ho hum.
El Capitan:
Are you physically threatening TrojanAnnenberg2001? Yes or no?
For the record, it wasn't Mark Sanchez' job to stop Jacquizz Rodgers.
Unless you've been giving Sanchez sole credit for the team's wins, it doesn't make sense to put the entire blame on him for the team's loses.
Viva Sanchez!!!!!!!!!
More cowards are in TA2001 corner. Are you prejudiced like him?
Ah yes, I almost forgot:
Viva Sanchez!!!!
You are *100%* on the money with regard to TrojanAnnenberg, El Cap.
USC grad he may indeed be, but he is a disgrace to Trojans everywhere. A whining, mewling punk, early to post with regard to inane topics such as the peccadilloes of past Song Girls.
As for his football knowledge? It could easily fit within the confines of a thimble. His anti-Sanchez rants merely render him a cliché amongst the other, hapless Wolf toadies who infest this board.
He is, arguably, the prime offender amongst this insipid group; I'll grant him that distinction.
What a worthless, pathetic case this emotional and intellectual midget must be in life.
Well.......... let us all meet back here to this blog after the Trojans win the National Championship...Then we'll see all the Sanchez "haters" stop sipping on that "Hater-rade" and give him some props!
Awwwwww, poor little itty bitty not so good fight has crawled out of the woodwork and is crying again. Boo!
Perhaps he can regale us with more stories about he is some kind of USC "insider" due to how he once worked as a 35 year old male secretary on work study in the provost's office. Watch out, John McCain and Barack Obama, 35 male secretaries are the true seat of power!
Another source of being the ultimate insider - "I go to a tailgate party before football games hosted by the father of my middle-aged friend. He has never mentioned anything you have said, so if he doesn't know about it, it simply cannot be true!"
Football knowledge of the not so good fight? Well, that is justified by his continual recitation of his resume; constantly mentioning how he earned several degrees. Right, being a man well into his 30s who went back to school, surrounded by teenagers and those in their early-twenties who mocked his presence - well, we all know that makes him a football guru on par with Bill Walsh.
This is too much laughter for this late at night. I have my own middle-aged stalker who has no life and whose claim to being an "insider" comes from having had a work study job as a 35 year old male secretary.
Re: Captain Idiot. Good job incriminating yourself on a public internet site with threats of physical violence. Your IP is logged and your identity (hello, Mr Luis!) is known by many. Your stupidity and self-incrimination have no bounds. You seem to take pride in being the board idiot. Good for you!
Is that you, Stallings?
Mark Sanchez is "head and shoulders" above the other USC quarterbacks. I don't know where Pfc. Gomer Pyle, USMC's head is.
