Sarkisian And Washington

| | Comments (13) |

Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said he was interested in the Washington job but had not heard from the school.
"It's a great place," Sarkisian said. "If they called, I'd have to assess it. I don't know what they think about me."
Former USC assistant and ex-Raiders coach Lane Kiffin is also believed to be interested in the position.

For Sark, the Washington job seems like owning a Del Taco after being the assistant manager at McDonalds. For Kiffen, it would be the same, but with a year as the cash clerk at Round Table. Either would be better off with Pete at USC until 2012 and winning another NC or 2.

We can only pray. Goodbye Sarkiffian, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

We can only hope they BOTH get hired by UW

Lets hope Sark goes and takes Yogi and Brennen with him. The problem is that Carroll will replace them with even bigger butt kissing sycophants and NO SPECIAL TEAMS COACH.

I'd be in favor of a good old fashion 18th century duel between Sark and Kiff to see who comes out with the Washington job. It'd be a win-win situation for both USC and Washington.

It must be a USC tradition to rip the OC and starting QB.

Question for everyone who wants Sark gone. Who would you want Coach Carroll to go out and get? (And no, you can't answer Norm Chow.) I don't think Sark is any better or worse than the other top OC's out there.

That's not to say there are not any problems on the offense. Sure there are. But how is it Sark's fault when Sanchez misses a wide open Patrick Turner (on a play called by Sark) or fails to run for an easy first down?

You definitely have a selective memory. You are correct and I agree with you on those two plays you referred to. WHY don't you point out the countless dropped passes NOT to mention missed routes, OK? Let's be fair and objective shall we?
Thank you

El Cap:

My point wasn't to be critical of Sanchez but to point out the ridiculous criticism of Sark and the playcalling. While everyone here knows my support last year for Booty, I wholeheartedly believe Sanchez is our best QB THIS YEAR. Sorry if you though I was using this story to bash Sanchez.

Anyone have a theory on who would replace Sark if he left? I really don't know anything about the offensive coordinator pool out there.

As far as offensive coordinators in the Pac-10:
I believe the current OC's at the three other schools that are known for their offense (Oregon, Arizona and ASU) have been hired/promoted in the last couple years and wouldn't be looking to move on.

Would they target an OC from the Big 12 or WAC conferences? Promote from within?

A trained Chimp could put up more then 21 pts with this talent like SarKiffin regularly do. The SarKiffin era cannot get over soon enough.

It is amazing to read all these whiners, who expect perfection, 13 and O and a NC every year. Relax and enjoy, it's a fricking game played by teenagers and young men. It is so easy being a Monday, Tuesday, etc., quarterback with 20-10 hindsight. Sarkisian is not perfect, but he is better than most. Take up golf and see how hard things are. From a 6.9.
