at least you didnt rank texas tech over sc.
I will bet the other and more rational AP voters will place SC ahead of Florida and Georgia. But I agree that Oklahoma should not drop below SC (after its great game yesterday)-- probably will be placed at No. 4:
Texas
Alabama
Penn State
Oklahoma
?
LSU #6, ridiculous!
Scott:
Why are you posting on your blog when you should be busy on campus covering the first day of the Song Girls tryouts/charade?
LSU at 6? Really Scott?
They were blown out just last night. You should watch some of these games.
What happened to Auburn Scott? Why did you drop them from the rankings? Oh yea, they are not a good team, which I pointed out last week.
I think what you really need to do here is add another SEC team in the top ten. It shouldn't matter if they've been blown-out at home (Georgia), lost by 30 (LSU), or lost at home to a bad Ole Miss team (Florida). Your little Alabama is due for their own loss soon enough, although their schedule isn't too difficult with LSU being the only remaining ranked opponent. The same LSU that just allowed 51 points.
Scott, Stick to covering broken lawn sprinklers.
Scott's rankings = comical
SW,did you see LSU get smoked last night?? I don't care who you're playing (even a one loss team) that means your D sucks. SEC living in the past. They are all over rated. Big 12 looks tough.
Kansas is very overrated, while California should get some love since it only has one loss and smoked Michigan State on opening day.
I realize it is difficult to put 25 good teams in a ranking these days, yet the brackets need being filled by some school, but Va. Tech, TCU, Ball State, and Wake Forest are not very good.
Scott, we are #4 in the coaches' poll, but you have us at #8. TxTech is #5 in the coaches' pool, but you have them inexplicably at #15. LSU is #14 in coaches', in yours they are #6. Coaches know a lot about college football, Scott Wolf, well, umm, you decide.

In the Coaches Poll (USA Today), USC is ranked No. 4 as the highest ranked one-loss team. In the Harris Poll, USC is ranked No. 5 as the second highest one-loss team (Okl). In the AP Poll, there are already two one-loss teams ahead of USC (Okl. and Fla.).
Aside from needing the remaining unbeatens to fall (Ala, Texas, Penn St, Texas Tech, and Okl St), USC is going to need the one-loss teams to lose again (Okl. Fla, Geo.), or at least have them "suffer" close wins over inferior opponents.
I see Alabama (@LSU and rivalry game with Auburn, perhaps) and Texas losing (pick one: Missouri, Okl St, @Texas Tech, or @ Kansas). Florida still has @Georgia, @Vandy, and @Fla St. Oklahoma still has Kansas, Texas Tech, @Okl. St. Plus, all of these teams have their respective Conf. Championship game. There will be a war of attrition and may leave a bunch of two-loss teams.
There are also some undefeated teams with strong schedule strength that could jump USC if they continue to win (Texas Tech, Okl St, BYU with outside chance).
Penn State is problematic. If PSU beats the Buckeyes, then it might go undefeated. If the Buckeyes win, however, USC and Penn St are 1-1 with common opponents (OSU and tOSU). USC would have the earlier loss, and its win over tOSU would be given greater weight, to allow USC to stay ahead of PSU.
But, of course, this is all contingent on USC running the table, which is no sure thing. USC needs to crush Wash St., and then avoid the trap that waits in Tucson.
Fight On!!
Your an idiot. You have no brains in voting and the rest of the nation has the same opinion. Loser.

Know what's funny about Scott's poll? That USC seems to be punished more harshly than any other team for bad losses. Florida lost at HOME to Miss St then exposed an over-rated LSU team and are at #3. USC's loss was on the road to an equally bad team (and yes Miss St is a bad team) and exposed an over-rated Ohio St team and are at #8.
How is LSU ranked above USC after being exposed defensively and offensively on Sat.? USC's never been blown out the way LSU was under Pete.
If USC was rotating inexperienced QBs and got blown out the way LSU just did they would be ranked at #20 in Scott's poll. He's so full of it it's sad really. LSU's not good Scott - they're paper Tigers. If you don't have a good QB in any conference you will lose multiple games and in the SEC even more so - since they're defensively inclined. LSU will lose at least 2 more games this season.
it's the 3rd time in less than a year that mr. wolf has been voted the worst voter of the week at pollspeak.com.
that's just not cool. come on scott, think a little!
