Pure athletic superiority counts for anything. USC's linebackers are able to cover tight end Rob Gronkowski. Quarterback Mark Sanchez does not have one of his ``Arizona State'' moments. Tailback Joe McKnight does not fumble. Pete Carroll does not go into a zone-defense cocoon because this is an alleged big game by Pac-10 standards
