What did USC's victory have to do with a skunk?

Where will USC be in the AP Poll? ESPN says #6.
Depends on how far OU, LSU, and Mizzou drop and how high UF climbs.

Let's not forget that SC was at least half good. Its defense can win a lot of games by itself. And Sanchez won't have that bad of a game ever again I would guess.

And SC probably has the easiest schedule of the Top-10 teams, so the Trojans still might sneak into the championship game.

Well, if you liked Mark Sanchez before the game you can put his bad performance on his health. IF you didn't this is an "I told you so" moment. I've always liked hm so I'll give him the benefit of the doublt until next week.

A couple of my questions for next week:

1. Will/should Stafon Johnson lose touches next week after putting up low numbers this week?

- My guess is no because Pete Carroll seems to like saving Joe McKnight for the second half. Probably because the opposing team's defense is tired while McKnight will be fresh.

2. Will/should Joe McKnight get another shot at punt returns since he didn't fumble in any of his other touches?

-My guess is no, it may hurt his confidence if he fumbles and it probably helps keep Stafon Johnson happy.

3. Where will Ronald Johnson be in the wide receiver pecking order?

-My guess is second behind Damien Williams if Sanchez is able to throw deep. If the Trojans have to rely on short passes and can't use RoJo's speed as an advantage they'll go to Patrick Turner more (D. Williams stays the #1 option) and the Tight Ends will get a look or two.

One thing I dod know is that I love quarterbacks who can run the QB sneak.

Good post, SG. Joe had some beautiful runs yesterday, which make his turnovers bearable. I honestly believe that if you go back and review every run of the season, CJG is our best RB. He very very rarely gets stopped at the line (like Stafon) and never fumbles (like Joe). CJ is a stud who is unapprecated by the fans. But, man, it is uncanny how much Joe looks like Reggie. Very surreal watching that kid tote the rock.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
